Updated Makeup Geek Collection (With Swatches)

Makeup Geek Review, Makeup Geek Swatches

The more I use Makeup Geek eyeshadows, the more I love them. If you saw my mammoth beauty haul a couple of months ago, you'll have seen I bought a lot more. Today I'm running down all the shades I have with swatches and mini reviews of each one. If you'd like to see my original review, check out this post.

All of the Makeup Geek Eyeshadows I have are excellent. The textures are consistently creamy and easy to blend. You can get a flawless look with these, no matter what level of skill you have. They're that good. They also last all day without loosing their vibrancy. I'm breaking down my collection into finish as I think that'll be the easiest to follow.

Shimmer Finish:

Shimma Shimma- A white gold shimmer that is perfect for the inner corners. Intense on its own, you definitely don't need to dampen the brush with this one. It instantly brightens the eyes and opens them up.

Cinderella- A light neutral soft pink that's neither warm or cool. It brightens up the eyelid. It has a very soft shimmer and works well as a finishing touch to a purple smokey eye.

Glamorous- A subtle warm gold that looks really pretty all over the lid. It's definitely subtle enough to be worn during the day.

Goddess- A warm bronzy rusty orange. Lovely blended into the outer corners and into the crease as it has quite a fine shimmer. I love pairing it with Glamorous to create a gradient of colour.

Cosmopolitan- A peachy rose gold shimmer, ideal for all over the lid. It's vibrant and bright yet appropriate for day time.

Burlesque- A rich deep purple shimmer. Very creamy and deep. Beautiful for a smokey eye and gorgeous on darker skin tones.

L-R: Shimma Shimma, Cinderella, Glamorous, Goddess, Cosmopolitan and Burlesque

Matte Finish:

Purely Naked- Light brown that works all over the lid or as a transition shade.

Creme Brûlée- A warm light brown that's ever so slightly darker and warmer than Purely Naked.

Latte- Neutral brown that leans slightly more cool toned. Perfect for brows, contouring and of course defining the crease.

Frappe- A warm mid toned brown. Very creamy and very warm. Looks gorgeous paired with Cosmopolitan. Ideal for the crease, especially in the summer.

Cocoa Bear- A warm dark brown that is great for smoking out a look and building definition and intensity. It's a nice rich matte.

Bitten- A purple burgundy that is great for a smokey eye or to add a pop of colour through the crease. I really like it paired with Cosmopolitan.

Vintage- Cool toned medium purple that works well for fair skin. Unique shade that pairs nicely with the shimmer eyeshadow Burlesque.

Corrupt- Very pigmented matte black. Great for a smoking out a look or applied damp as eyeliner.

L-R: Purely Naked, Creme Brûlée, Latte, Frappe, Cocoa Bear, Bitten and Corrupt

Foiled Eyeshadows:

Grandstand- A very dewy taupe rose gold. It changes depending on the light. Sometime it leans more rose gold, sometimes more taupe. It's quite a brightening shade.

Flamethrower- A very vibrant and bright rusty orange copper. A more intense and dramatic Goddess.

L-R: Grandstand and Flamethrower

So those are all my Makeup Geek eyeshadows. I have no doubt that I'll be buying more because I just can't get enough of them. The formula is superior to some of my high end eyeshadows, but for a fraction of the price. The normal eyeshadows are £4.95 each and the foiled eyeshadows are £7.95 each. I would also love to try the duo chrome shadows because they look amazing.

What's your favourite Makeup Geek eyeshadow?

Thanks for reading,
Avani
