My Goals For 2018


Well hello there. It's been a couple of weeks since my last post. I had planned on my usual schedule, but with the New Year came zero inspiration. Talk about timing. Anyway, this post is a little late, and will be my last for a few weeks. I wanted to get this one up, before taking a little break.

I'm not a New Year's resolution kind of gal. I don't like the pressure they bring and the inevitable guilt when I don't stick to them. However, I've thought a lot about it over the past few weeks, and whilst I don't have any resolutions, I do have a few things I'd love to achieve in 2018.

Get My Health Back:

Starting with the big one. 2018 will be the year I get my health back. I hope. I've had M.E for seven years and I've been pretty much house bound for nearly six. That's a long long time. Physically, I know I can get there. I've had a glimpse of what my life could be when my health settles and I want that to be permanent. I'd say my biggest struggle is my mental health. There's no way I'm going to be physically well, if I'm not mentally well. I want to get my anxiety and OCD under control and I hope this is the year I do it. I've started therapy so between that and the Perrin Technique, I think I have a good chance of changing my life for the better.

Master Liquid Liner:

I hate doing liquid liner, at least on myself. It always ends us being a huge mess. With any luck (more like patience) 2018 will be the year I can master the feline flick. I've put it in writing so I guess I have to at least try this year.

Post On Instagram More:

I'm terrible at posting on Instagram. I'll go months where I don't post anything, then weeks when I'm posting everyday. Same goes for Twitter. I need to get into more of a routine of posting on each platform at least once a day. It'll be good for my blog, but more than that, it will be good for me.

Go Out More:

This is so closely linked with my physical health, but also my mental health. I need to get out more. I go weeks where the only time I leave the house is for a short walk or an appointment. Sometimes that's because I'm physically not well enough, most of the time it's because anxiety gets in the way. It's something I'm working on so fingers crossed I'll get there.

So those are my 2018 goals. As I mentioned, I'm going to take a little break. I'm not sure for how long as I'm really uninspired at the moment. I have no ideas right now! Maybe a little time away from the blog will help! See you soon!
