Monthly Favourites: July 2014

Seriously, is July already over? I know I say this every month but this year really is flying past. Here's all the stuff I've been loving throughout the month of July.

The weather this month has be scorching, at least for England, so I haven't been wearing a lot of makeup. My Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream has been very well loved; it's lightweight but gives a flawless finish. I recently wore this to a family friend's dinner and got a lot of compliments on my skin. My next two favourites come hand in hand with each other and that's the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder and Mac Fix Plus. This is the dynamic duo. I powder with Rimmel and set with Fix Plus and it's like magic. Pores disappear, shine is gone and things last all day. I even use these on days when I'm not wearing any makeup but my skin is looking a little shiny. It just gives the complexion a lift. I don't know how it works but it does! Finally for makeup are the new L'oreal Colour Riche Mono Eyeshadows. I am working on a full post (with swatches) so all I'm going to say is that these are where it's at in terms of drugstore eyeshadows.

The Dermasuri Exfoliating Mitt is hands down the best body exfoliator you will find. Since it's been shorts weather this month, I've needed to make my legs look somewhat presentable and this gets it done. It's not messy or drying, it's perfection. If that doesn't convince you, you can read my full post here

My random favourite this month is the movie The Blind Side. This is probably one of the best movies I have ever seen. It's such a beautiful story and I highly recommend watching it. It's quite serious but it's not heavy and there are moments of comedy in there too. It's the kind of movie that you can't stop thinking about or replaying in your mind afterwards. Oh and Sandra Bullock is fantastic as usual.

That's everything! I'll see you for another monthly favourites post at the end of August.

What have you been loving this month? Have you watched The Blind Side?

Thanks for reading,
