Underrated Beauty: YSL Shocking Liquid Eyeliner

YSL Shocking Liquid Eyeliner (£25.50) has been a staple in my collection for years, yet I've never actually reviewed it!

This liner is three things; easy to use, pigmented and long lasting. It's a felt tip liner and the one that really got me into liquid liner. The nib is quite long and flexible yet firm enough that it doesn't move around when you're trying to draw a line. It also comes to a precise point allowing you to get right into the roots of the lashes.

Since the felt tip nib is very long and precise, you can really control how thick you want your line to be. I like to lay the pen horizontally and press it into the base of the lashes for a thin line. You barely need any pressure and you get the finest of lines. Creating a thick line is just as easy because you can really layer and build up the intensity. The flexibility of the tip makes creating a flick really easy too.

As you can see from the swatch, it's definitely pigmented. It's also very long lasting without being difficult to remove. I haven't got a bad thing to say about this product. Although it's expensive, it doesn't dry out quickly. I've only had to repurchase it twice because it lasts so long.

YSL Shocking Liquid Eyeliner is a great product that not enough people are talking about! If you're looking for a new liner, I highly recommend checking this out at your local counter.

Thanks for reading,
