Festive Cosy Night In Essentials

Cosy Night In

Nothing makes me feel more cosy than Christmas. Today I'm sharing some of my essentials for a cosy festive night in.

Of course food is at the top of the list! Comfort food and cosy nights in go hand in hand. My favourite comfort food is probably mac and cheese. Carbs and cheese. Heaven. I'm the only one at home who really eats it so I found a brilliant recipe that's for a single portion. I tend to double it because mac and cheese is life. The recipe is really easy to follow and once you've measured everything out, it only takes as long the macaroni takes to boil. If you're feeling fancy, top it with breadcrumbs and grill it for a few minutes. Yum.

Yes. Chocolate deserves its own category. For 11 months of the year, I don't really eat much chocolate, but come December, I go straight for the hard stuff. I love that the selection is so much bigger and you have all the different fun size packs. Somehow chocolate tastes better when it comes in a Christmas selection pack.

I love lighting candles to make a room more cosy. I've been loving the Mandarin, Clove and Cinnamon scent from M&S. The candles smell so good and look really pretty and the room spray is lovely. I also adore The White Company Winter Botanical Candle. I mean it just looks so festive with all orange and clove pieces visible in the candle.

I have way too many film favourites to count, but if I had to choose, I'd pick Home Alone for a cosy night in. It's funny and lighthearted and it really starts to feel like Christmas when I watch this.

Pyjamas. Fluffy socks. What else?!

So those are my festive night in essentials. What are yours?
